Cyber Security

5 Reasons Why You NEED Cyber Security

Any and Everyone who uses I.T, computer or phone, is vulnerable to a Cyber-attack. ANYONE! and EVERYONE!

(Ensue panic!).

If you don′t think you are susceptible, think again!

Reason 1. Globally, there is a Cyber-attack attempted less then EVERY 39 SECONDS. (that is potentially 2 since you began reading this). From the micro business with one employee to Government organisation with 100′s of thousands of employees, a cyber criminal will find any potential target to harvest data and commit fraud.

Reason 2. No matter how big or small, businesses should have Cyber risk as a HIGH priority to ensure that their employees, systems and information are safe, restricted and protected from the ‘evil doers’ and hackers that wish exploit this information.

Reason 3. Most businesses don′t have a plan to help them deal with any Cyber exploit. In fact most small business don′t know what needs to be done in the event of a breach.
All businesses of any size should have an establish an Incident Response Plan as a minimum.

Reason 4. Who doesn′t use a Mobile device in this day and age? Phone, laptop or tablet. The real question is who is safeguarding these devices from the many security risks that come with them (Your Cyber Team should be). If left unaddressed, just accessing your Wi-Fi can be an unwanted entry point into your business. There are many risks around mobile devices, what if one is lost?! What would you do if your mobile got into the wrong hands?!

Reason 5. Unfortunately, for businesses all over the globe, Cyber-criminals are getting smarter and better at what they do and are finding more sophisticated ways to breach our networks. You must be proactive posture to cyber risks not reactive. Being reactive to Cyber risks, threats and vulnerabilities often means it is very difficult or even too late to recover.

To do all this, companies NEED to have a Cyber Team in place, to defend against potential attackers. Be proactive, Do Not leave it until it is too late to think about defending your company′s assets.
